True Africa Escape Booking Terms
Effective from January 2024
Welcome to True Africa Escape. By booking a safari with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully as they form the basis of our contract with you.
1. Booking & Payments
- A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking
- Full payment must be made 60 days before departure
- Bookings made within 60 days require full payment immediately
- All prices are in US Dollars (USD)
2. Cancellations & Refunds
- 60+ days before departure: Loss of deposit only
- 45-59 days before departure: 50% of total cost
- 30-44 days before departure: 75% of total cost
- Less than 30 days: 100% of total cost
- No refunds for unused services or early departure
3. Changes by True Africa Escape
- We reserve the right to modify itineraries due to safety, weather, or operational reasons
- Alternative arrangements of similar standard will be provided
- We are not liable for additional expenses due to changes
4. Client Responsibilities
- Valid passport with 6+ months validity
- Required visas and vaccinations
- Comprehensive travel insurance (mandatory)
- Follow guide instructions for safety
- Inform us of any medical conditions
5. Health & Safety
- Safaris involve inherent risks with wildlife and remote locations
- Clients participate at their own risk
- Indemnity form must be signed before departure
- We carry first aid kits but recommend personal medications
6. Travel Insurance Requirements
- Mandatory coverage includes:
- Medical expenses & emergency evacuation
- Trip cancellation & interruption
- Lost/delayed baggage
- Personal liability
- Adventure activities coverage
7. What's Included
- Accommodation as per itinerary
- Meals as specified (B/L/D)
- Safari vehicle transportation
- Park fees & conservation charges
- Professional guide services
- Scheduled activities
8. What's Not Included
- International flights
- Visas & travel insurance
- Gratuities for guides & staff
- Personal expenses (drinks, souvenirs, laundry)
- Optional activities
- Meals not specified
9. Liability Limitations
- We act as agents for accommodation and transport providers
- Liability limited to tour cost paid
- Not liable for loss/damage to personal belongings
- Not liable for delays beyond our control
- Not liable for personal injury except due to our negligence
10. Force Majeure
- Not liable for circumstances beyond our control including:
- Natural disasters
- Political unrest or war
- Terrorism or pandemics
- Government restrictions
- Industrial actions
11. Complaints Procedure
- Report issues immediately to your guide
- Submit written complaint within 30 days of tour completion
- We will investigate and respond within 30 days
12. Privacy Policy
- We collect necessary information for your booking
- Information shared only with required service providers
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- You may opt out of marketing communications
13. Intellectual Property
- All website content is our property
- Tour photos may be used for promotion unless requested otherwise
14. Governing Law
- These terms are governed by Tanzanian law
- Disputes subject to Tanzanian courts
15. Amendments
- We may update these terms at any time
- Current version always available on our website
- Changes don't affect existing bookings unless required by law
